Stine 01
Stine 01 is our first collection — and the one Stine was born with.
It began with the stone. We saw Rosa Aurora in a quarry in the Alentejo: rose, warm, veined like weather. We wanted to make something with it that would still make sense in thirty years.
Two objects came out of that. A coffee table and a stool. Both cut from the same Portuguese marble, both shaped around the same idea: let the form stay quiet, let the stone be the thing you look at.
We kept the shapes simple. A round top on a sculptural base. A stool from a single block. The curves are soft, almost liquid — they follow the way the veining moves through the stone.
Rosa Aurora is one of Portugal's best-known natural stones. It is quarried in Estremoz, Vila Viçosa and Borba. Its character comes from soft rose tones and fine, cloud-like veining. Each block carries its own drawing.
The stone has been valued for centuries for its durability and for its warmth.
